I’m Laxmi Murali, mothered by love, and care; fathered by freedom and life lessons. Firmly rooted in the central stretch of what the world calls ‘Gods own country’, yet branched out like a banyan tree with steady elements of coconut tree within me which has now taken me to the land of maples.

 

 

From early childhood, I had seen different shades of ripe fruits, raw mangoes, peaceful apples, and different other varieties. I had seen the story of King Lear long before I was taught that in school. I had seen those three daughters and the fate of the King from my own kin.

Being a kid whose first lessons were all that glitters is not gold, I grew up with a much different outlook towards life than normal kids. From having a father who dedicated his life and pleasures to his blood-brothers and then seeing him being stabbed on the back, and then on the face, I had been wounded with the whole that blood doesn’t give you the license to become a family.

 

 

As I grew from a seed to fruit, all those early lessons in life motivated me to achieve big and to dream big. 18 years of my life, I lived in a bungalow which was our ancestral home.

 

When I turned 19, we had to step out and start fresh. It was my father’s birthplace, it was my only home, and it was where all my memories had been etched. But, we had to step out. And that was enlightenment, which is quoted in Genesis 3:19, “For dust you are, and to dust, you shall return."

 

 

Now, I am a believer in spiritual consciousness, karma, and doing good on the one hand, and on the other, I live my life on the edge. Lover of anything beautiful under the sky, and admirer of the stars, I have miles and miles to go before I sleep. And while I tread each step, I will tell you about what I see, what admires me, what motivates me, what I learn and unlearn, what makes me evolve as a person and what makes me explore the explored and explore the unexplored.
